The Nation is mourning and I am deeply saddened by this.
We must review the regulations of importation of drugs to this country.
We must have strict policies on controlled drugs. We as country do not manufacture any drug and depend on imported drugs.
The ministry of health and the border controls have failed us again and We must hold them accountable and prosecute anyone found liable for doing this heinous crime.
I call for the immediate sacking of the Minister of health Dr. Amadou Lamin Samateh. Dismiss the senior staff National Medicine Control Agency with immediate effect.
The National Medical Board and Medical Associates should stand for The Gambian people to ensure the state putting up a team to investigate all those involved in this from the Minister to the pharmacy owners.
Serious government acts on issues as they unfold and be proactive for the interest of the people not mere statements, I call for nationwide mourning for the children who could have been anything in the world,
if this unfortunate incident did not occur.
Failure to act accordingly, I call on the citizens to hold a peaceful demonstration in expressing their anger to this national disaster which is cause by selfish public servants.
May the souls of these innocent kids rest in perfect and eternal peace.
