NAWEC’s Missing Millions: Police Recover About D2M After Arresting 14 Suspects

The spokesperson of the Gambia Police Force has confirmed to Kerr Fatou the arrest of 14 suspects with D1, 772, 600 in connection to the D15 million missing from NAWEC’ AGIB Bank Account.
“The Police investigation into the AGIB-NAWEC case is currently ongoing. So far 14 people have been arrested and are helping with investigations, among them are Gambians and non-Gambians,” ASP Lamin Njie told this medium.
He also confirmed that aside from the cash amount of D1, 772, 600. 00, the police have also found two vehicles- Mercedes Benz and Toyota Camry with the suspects.
Spokesperson Njie added that all the 14 suspects are currently helping the police in their investigation.
