The Senior Administrative Secretary of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC), Mr. Samba Baldeh, has confirmed that the Party’s Council of Elders have convince MC Cham Jr to take up the Campaign Manager position at GDC.
“He became the Campaign Manager through negotiation. He loves the party and he doesn’t want any disintegration. That was the first thing he opted for (campaign manager), but he later change his mind and went for the Deputy Party leader position. He feels that as far as people convinced him to leave that position for Mboob, he will settle for the campaign manager position now. Our Council of Elders led by one Amat Faal called him and talk to him and he agreed with what they said,” GDC’s Senior Administrative Secretary told Kerr Fatou.
MC Cham Jr vied for the Deputy Party Leader position but he was convinced after an intense negotiation to withdraw his application which ultimately led to Momodou ABS Mboob assuming that position.
