The Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GIEPA) recently received Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the Gambia, His Excellency Mohammed Manu.
Receiving the delegation, the CEO of The Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GIEPA), Ousainou Senghore welcomed the diplomat and his delegation.
CEO Senghore hailed the new mutual partnership envisaged to promote bilateral trade and investment between the Gambia and Nigeria.
The meeting discussed plans to stage a proposed international trade fair in early next month (October 2022) that aims to promote subregional exhibition of locally made products and services of both countries.
GIEPA with its local partners would coordinate and facilitate the week-long exhibition of subregional products and services with the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).
GIEPA is the national agency responsible for the promotion and facilitation of private sector investments into The Gambia, while NEPC is its Nigerian counterpart.
