Seventeen Individuals Arrested For Assault & Willful Damage

The Gambia Police Force has in a press release stated that its anticrime unit has arrested seventeen (17) individuals, aged 15 to 69, following an incident in Freetown, Sinchu Sorrie, on October 8, 2023.
According to the police statement, the gang ‘NEVER MINE’ unlawfully entered homes, committed assaults, caused property damage, and terrorized residents before fleeing the scene. The gang leader, Saikou Jarju, known as ‘DOSER,’ was identified by eyewitnesses and subsequently arrested.
Several community members sustained injuries, and mobile phones, including Samsung A21 and iPhone 6 models, were stolen during the incident.
