The former managing director of NAWEC, Baba Fatajo, confirmed to Kerr Fatou that he has received his marching orders.
President Adama Barrow has fired the managing director of National Water and Electricity Company, Baba Fatajo.
A letter written to Fatajo informing him of his sacking from the office of the Secretary General has indicated that the decision was an “executive directive”.
Fatajo has been appointed as the Managing Director of NAWEC in 2017, few months after President Adama Barrow came to power.
The letter indicated that Fatajo would nevertheless receive his June salary. Fatajo’s replacement is reportedly one Alpha Robinson, a Gambian national residing in Germany.
