Kebba Lang Fofana, a nominated member of the National Assembly and senior official of the National People’s Party (NPP), has expressed confidence that Gambians will renew President Adama Barrow’s mandate in the 2026 presidential election.

Fofana made the remarks following an extensive nationwide tour conducted by the NPP and its alliance partners. The tour, which spanned multiple regions, provided an opportunity for party representatives to engage directly with citizens and gather feedback on governance and development under President Barrow’s administration.

“This tour has reaffirmed a clear truth: the developmental achievements under President Barrow’s leadership are unprecedented, reaching every corner of The Gambia. I am confident that the Gambian people will renew his mandate and ensure his victory in the 2026 presidential elections,” Fofana stated.

Describing the nationwide engagement as a meaningful experience, Fofana noted that it strengthened the party’s connection with its supporters. He highlighted the enthusiastic reception the NPP received across the country.

“We listened attentively and witnessed the expressions of joy, satisfaction, and commitment to the NPP in Niumi, Sabach, the Saloums, Nianija, Niani, Janjanbureh, the Fulladus, Kantora, and across the Niaminas, Jarras, and Kiangs,” he said.

Fofana further praised President Barrow’s leadership, noting key achievements in infrastructure development, agricultural reforms, healthcare advancements, education improvements, energy access for communities, and the preservation of freedom of expression.

“President Barrow’s administration has delivered broad-based progress that positively impacts every Gambian,” he added.
