Vice President of The Gambia, His Excellency Muhammed BS Jallow, led a delegation of officials on Wednesday to assess the progress and challenges faced by key government agencies. The institutions visited included the National Population Commission Secretariat (NPCS), National Nutrition Agency (NaNA), National Social Protection Agency (NSPA), National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA), Food Safety and Quality Authority (FSQA), and the National Early Warning and Response Mechanism Coordinating Center (NCCRM).

The tour aimed to evaluate the implementation of various programs under these agencies and identify any obstacles impeding their effectiveness. Vice President Jallow commenced his visit at the National Population Commission Secretariat before proceeding to the other agencies, engaging in discussions focused on achievements and existing challenges.

Leaders of the respective agencies expressed their appreciation for the Vice President’s visit, highlighting it as a strong demonstration of the government’s commitment to strengthening institutional effectiveness. They emphasized the importance of continued support in addressing sectoral challenges and enhancing service delivery.

In his closing remarks, Vice President Jallow commended the dedication and hard work of the agency staff, acknowledging their significant progress. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to resolving the challenges identified and ensuring that these institutions continue to provide high-quality services to the Gambian people.
