The United Democratic Party (UDP) has donated three hundred thousand dalasis to victims of windstorm in Central and Upper River Regions.
The windstorm which occurred last month has destroyed hundreds of compounds, rendering many people homeless in the two regions and killing 3.
The leadership of the UDP including secretary general Ousainou Darboe and deputy secretary Aja Yam Secka made a 2-day visit to the two regions which began on Sunday.
The party donated hundred thousand dalasis each to the flood victims of Basse, Janjanbureh and Kuntaur Area Councils chairmen.
The party made the donations through regional chairmen to deliver it to people.
The party also donated some cloths to victims through their representatives. The party could not directly meet with the victims.
