Trust Bank Donates Medical Items Worth Over D250, 000.00 To The maternity Ward of the Farafenni General hospital

The Management of Trust Bank, today, December 8, 2022, presented items worth over two hundred and fifty thousand dalasis (D250,000) to the Maternity ward of the Farafenni General Hospital. This donation is part of the bank’s annual presentation to healthcare facilities across the country in fulfillment of its corporate social responsibility program.

Speaking at the ceremony the Deputy Managing Director of Trust Bank Omar Mboob said, the presentation was a continuation of a journey that started years ago with the strategic objective of complimenting governments efforts to ensure that no mother should die while giving birth, that no child should die at birth from preventable causes and that quality health services will be accessible to all Gambians.

“Records have shown that we have achieved a lot together as Gambians notwithstanding all the challenges along the way and I am optimistic that soon, we shall achieve our ultimate objective by delivering expert and advanced medical care that is tailored to each individual patient’s needs,” he said.

He added that since they adopted the maternity ward at Farafenni General Hospital, Trust Bank has extended numerous support that has impacted positively on the lives of the patients.

“Today, we all take pride in the fact that many mothers with complicated pregnancies will safely deliver their babies and that many medical emergencies will now be managed here at Farafenni hospital. People will no longer need to travel all the way to EFSTH in Banjul to get quality health services”

The CEO of the Farafenni General Hospital, Dr. Kebba Manneh, thanked Trust Bank for the kind gesture rendered to the hospital 

The Principal nursing officer, Kaddy Jammeh, assures the gathering that Trust Bank’s donations to the hospital will not be wasted and will be put to good use.

The Items donated to the hospital include medical supplies, detergents, office equipment, and electrical appliances among other things.
