Tamala Resort and Kotu Cape Point Beach Hotel Signed Management Agreement with TUI BLUE

Tamala Beach Resort The Gambia and Kotu Cape Point Beach Hotel signed hotel management and technical services agreements with TUI BLUE on Friday at the Tamala Beach Resort.

At the signing ceremony, Minister of Tourism and Culture Hamat NK Bah said the agreement is a major milestone in the Gambia’s tourism development.

“Today is a very important day in our Tourism evolution because TUI is the biggest Tour operator in the world. It is always important that in any destination you have a specific interest in that destination. I congratulate Mr. Malleh Sallah and Omar Jawara for having done and making our country proud,” He said. 

Malleh Sallah, Managing Director of International Tourism Investment Limited and owner of the Tamala Kotu Point project, said that tourism contributes immensely to the Gambia’s economy and is the largest private sector employer in the country.

“This partnership between TUI BLUE and Tamala Resort and Kotu point hotel. This is a new face for our Tourism in The Gambia. This is a change in the way we do Tourism. TUI BLUE is the biggest Tour operator in the world. TUI BLUE, which is branding hundreds of hotels in the world, have decided the Gambia is a destination they want to be in. Why do they want to do this? Because we have a beautiful country, beautiful people, we have peace and stability 

“This is a testament that if you build something good, people will want to be a part of it. We have negotiated hard for this deal, and the deal is happening today. We want to assure you that from our side we are going to give you our full support, we will give you good products, and we are going to show you how Gambians do things. If we do things as Gambians, we do it better than anyone else in the world. We are small, but we are big,” He said.

Seyaka Sonko, the Minister of Interior, said the security sector will do everything in its powers to make sure that the tourism sector is always safe

The Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Abdoulie Jobe, assures the gathering of his ministry’s support towards the tourism sector
