Sainabou Mbye, 2 Others’ Bail Application Set For Ruling On Thursday

The bail application on behalf of Sainabou Mbye and 2 others’ is set for ruling on 11^th August 2022 (Thursday).

The lawyers representing the trio filed an application before the High Court of the Gambia for their clients to be granted bail.

The lead counsel for the defence, Sagar Cecilia Thomas argued that there are no charges against her clients and that the court has no power to keep them in Mile 2, any longer.

In response to the defence counsel, Muhammad B. Sowe, the lead counsel for the State said the defence has not been truthful to the court; and therefore, the court should disregard their application.

Justice Sidi K. Jobarteh then adjourned the hearing to Thursday for a ruling on the application.
