Fire Outbreak At Islamic School Halts Learning
By Mustapha Ceesay
A fire outbreak at Al-Huda Qur’anic memorisation centre in Farato has sent home 45 students resident at the centre.
Many other non-resident students who go to the centre for daily lessons are also asked to stay home.
The flames at the boarding school did not register any casualties; but burned several valuables and forced a few into living in the school’s Masjid in the West Coast Region settlement.
Authorities said the fire began while the teachers and students were in the Masjid for the Friday congregation.
Meanwhile, anyone interested to support the centre can reach out to the authorities on (+220) 366 57 06.
More details of the broadcast story will air later.
