Ousman Rambo Jatta, the former Deputy Party leader of the Alliance for Patriotic Re-orientation and construction (APRC) has called on president Adama Barrow to put his Party’s house in order.

“The only problem you have now is your party. I will advise you to put your house in order. Your Party’s house is in disarray. I know you will not like it, but that is the hard fact. But is something that is also not hidden because NPP is the only political party in the Gambia where their executive will throw bad statements at each other on social media. That is something you have to look into. The reason why I’m giving you this advice is we are in the same boat, and you are our captain, if you go off the course, we will all sink. Mr. President, put your political party house in order. It is no a joke,” Rambo Jatta said.

He also expressed confidence in the 2026 presidential election, as President Barrow is fulfilling his duties as president.

“I don’t see anything that will be difficult in 2026 because you are doing your quota as a president and that’s the most important. If you were not doing anything with all these brouhahas, I would have had a second thought, but you are doing what is expected of you.

“For us, we will stand by you, and we are here to guard this alliance. Our contract with you is not yet finished because we voted you in office for five years, and we will continue in that five years. If anyone thinks APRC and NPP are going apart, you are a block head. We contributed in re-electing the president, so we will be there to be with him,” he concluded.

Ousman Rambo Jatta is the former Deputy Party leader of the Alliance for Patriotic Re-orientation and construction (APRC) who are in coalition with president Barrow’s National People’s (Party NPP). Jatta is also a consular at the Gambia’s embassy in South Africa.
