The Gambia Police spokesperson, Asistant Superintendent Lamin Njie has confirmed the arrested of Modou Dahaba fondly called ‘Dahaba’.
He added that the arrest of the notable and strong supporter of the National People’s Party [NPP] is in connection to a land matter in which he is said to have obtained money amounting to D600, 000 by false pretense
“We can confirmed that he was arrested in connection to a land matter in which he obtained money amounting to D600, 000 from a certain complainant. The matter was investigated and he is charged with obtaining money by false pretenses,” spokesperson Njie confirmed to Kerr Fatou.
Njie further informed that Mr. Dahaba is currently set on bail awaiting trial.
Modou Dahaba, a former school bus driver, is a prominent supporter of President Adama and his National People’s Party (NPP).
