National People’s Party Leader

The leader of the National People’s Party (NPP) Adama Barrow said the people are already convinced to vote for him as his party began the presidential campaign.
He made the remarks in response to whether he would be able to convince people who do not support him to join his NPP “grand coalition”.
“Our partners have been very supportive and from all indications, our partners want to sponsor us. Even our allocation has increased by 120%. So that means the campaign will be a very good start for us. Out of these five years, we considered it a transition period. Now going forward, after 4th December, I think that will be a new start for this country. We will build a strong foundation of democracy moving forward. We need everybody to support us, especially the media. Report accurately, we don’t want you to support anybody, but accurate reporting. What is happening on the ground report that. That’s what we want from you,” the leader of the National People’s Party said.
The Gambian President is seeking re-election in the December 4 election against the UDP (his former party), PDOIS, GDC, NUP and Independent Candidate, Essa Mbye Faal.
The December election presidential campaign officially began on 9th November and it will run until 2 December 2021.
