Payment of Taxes, Fees and Levies

40

The Management of the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) wishes to inform the general public and taxpayers in particular, that the Authority has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a number of commercial banks. All taxes, fees and levies can henceforth, be paid at these banks. Taxpayers are urged to be using these facilities to reduce congestion at GRA offices.

Where a taxpayer chose to pay at GRA offices, the payment should be made to the cashiers only. Taxpayers making payments should not hand over cash meant for payment to agents, tax enforcement officers or other staff neither trained nor authorized to handle cash.

In addition, taxpayers are urged to demand receipts whenever they make payments. The receipt should reflect the taxpayers correct Tax Identification Number (TIN) and that no two payment receipts bore the same receipt number. Taxpayers should also confirm that the tax, fee or levy paid is correctly reflected on the receipt issued by the cashier and that the pay-in-slip number is correctly reflected on the payment receipt.

If you have any question or doubt the authenticity of the receipt issued to you, please call +220 4223 128/129/132/159, Ext. 171 or 172. Alternatively, you can text the receipt number to 7816 859 or 7836 170.

GRA, collecting Revenue for National Development.

Thank You.
