The spokesperson of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) has confirmed to this medium that the current GDC National Youth President, MC Cham Jr, has summited his application for the position of Deputy Party Leader for GDC.
“MC Cham Jr has applied for the position of Deputy Party leader and I will support him,” GDC spokesperson, Hon. Omar Ceesay told Kerr Fatou ahead of today’s Congress in Jarra Soma, Lower River Region.
The position of the Deputy Party leader of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) is currently vacant after Tina Faal who occupied the position since 2020 resigned from the post.
MC Cham Jr confirmed to Kerr Fatou that he will not contest the National Youth President position ahead of today’s Congress but declined to speak on whether he is going for the deputy Party leader position.
