The Operations Supervisor of Baluwo for West Africa, Mr. Lamin Jaiteh, said they hope for “great” football from Gambian players after signing a four-year (4) sponsorship deal with the Gambia Football Federation (GFF).

“Football unites the nation, and this represents a way for the Gambian diaspora to be connected to their relatives back home. Baluwo is proud to be the bridge between them and their families. We hope our partnership with GFF helps all the players to play better football,” Mr. Jaiteh said during the official signing ceremony.

Mr. Jaiteh further stated that they are proud to be the official sponsors of the GFF First Division League.

He said Baluwo is ready to empower Gambian Football and promote the 16 teams of the GFF First Division League to the international football scene.

“Our football values are directly linked with Baluwo’s efforts. Efforts and solidarities are common values that we strongly share with GFF. Thanks to this partnership we are to give awareness to Gambian football all over Europe, the US, especially towards young people,” he said.

Mr. Jaiteh asserted that in addition to sponsoring the GFF, they are also proud to support a Brikama-based team called Greater Tomorrow Football Club, a team that has been a great example to many teams in this country.

He told the gathering that Baluwo has been sponsoring Greater Tomorrow Football Club since their Nawettan playing days. They have since elevated to playing in the GFF First Division League.

“We are excited to start this upcoming season, and we wish all the best of luck to all the 16 teams. Thanks again GFF for your trust and to all of you for being here today,” he stated.

Baluwo and the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) have signed a sponsorship deal worth $25,000 which is equivalent to D1,549,025.
