The National Youth President of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC), MC Cham Jr has called on the government and other stakeholders to assist the victims of the weekend flood in the country.
“I write to appeal to Gambians and non-Gambians to join hands and support the flood victims in the country, especially those living in Ebo Town and other residences in the Kanifing Municipality where serious damages have been made.
“The Government of the Gambia, the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA)and other stakeholders should all come to the aid of the victims,” he said on Sunday.
MC Cham Jnr is the National Youth President of the opposition Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) and a resident of Ebo Town.
Many communities in the country have been hit by flood this weekend caused by continual rainfall on Saturday and Sunday.
