Karpowership donates food items to needy Gambians
Karpowership is an energy company that started operation in Gambia about three weeks ago supplying country’s energy company with 36 megawatt
A Turkish energy company, Karpowership, has donated two hundred 50kg bags of rice and two hundred 25kg bags of sugar to dozens of needy families in Gambia on Thursday. The ceremony was held at Fatu Network along Kairaba Avenue.
Karpowership is an energy company that started operation in Gambia about three weeks ago supplying country’s energy company with 36 megawatts.
The company’s energy ship is docked in Banjul near the Ports.
Their operations has incredibly boost energy supply of the country struggling energy company that supply to only 42% of its population.
“We are committed to the development of the communities in which we operate,” Yankuba Mamburay, the project manager of the company, said as they hand over the food items to various recipients.
Also part of the benefactors were various boarding schools most of which are Quranic recitation centers.
Mamburay said the energy company is also working on extending similar help to the country’s fishing sector and schools.
