GDC Propaganda Secretary Joins NPP

The Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) Propaganda Secretary Ablie Cham who once called President Adama Barrow’s government “ incompetent” has joined the National People’s Party on Saturday.
After crossed-carpeting to the president’s camp in the Lower River Region, he said: “I am a citizen. I have observed that what President Adama Barrow is doing for this country. All of us should come together and help him so that he can achieve what he wants for the country. We are youths and we have a long way to go. Today, if we see President Adama Barrow is somebody who is trustworthy, who wants to take this country to another level, what we should do is to forget about our egos and support him,” he said.
Reacting to the news when contacted, the spokesperson of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) Omar Ceesay said: “We have got the news that Able Cham went back to NPP. He was in GDC, he left for the NPP. He left NPP and came back to the GDC. When he came back to the GDC, there eas nothing that he did say about President Adama Barrow. He said he went to President Adama Barrow but he was not okay with what he saw and he said that was the reason he came back to the GDC. He said it’s only Hon. Mama Kandeh who can take this country forward. It’s the same Able Cham that left the GDC and went back to the NPP. It’s not a breaking News to us, it’s not a surprise to us and it cannot distract us,” he said.
Until his latest defection to the President’s party, Ablie Cham was the National propaganda Secretary of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC).
