The Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) has in a press release confirmed that they have started an investigation into a fight that allegedly took place between a doctor and his patient at the Ndenban Clinic.
“EFSTH management wishes to inform the general public that the unfortunate incident where a doctor was caught on video fighting with a patient, was inappropriate, unethical, and unprofessional.
“The hospital is investigating the matter and will appropriately inform the public of the findings that may arise. A Technical Committee has been set up to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Based on the results of the investigation, appropriate actions will be taken to ensure that such does not happen again,” the hospital said on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the hospital begged for the indulgence of the public while they investigate the matter.
“Furthermore, we would like the public, especially the media to come and get information from us rather than relying on secondary sources,” the release ends.
