The Ministry of Interior has assured the community of Mandinary that a coroner’s inquest will be promptly launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of Omar Badjie.
In a statement issued on Friday, the ministry pledged that the findings of the inquest and related investigations will be shared with the public in due course.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to the rule of law, the ministry emphasized its responsibility to safeguard the safety and security of all citizens and residents.
As the investigation continues, the ministry appealed for calm, noting that peace, security, and stability are shared responsibilities. “To this end all citizens and residents alike are encouraged to remain law-abiding and maintain the peace at all times,” the statement concluded.
