His Excellency, Adama Barrow, the president of the Gambia, announced that they would begin to track late arrivals in public Offices as he launched seventy (70) new buses on Wednesday.

“If you can remember the last Koriteh I told you I will start going to offices to check the time that people are reporting to work and their time of closing. I delayed this because I was waiting for the buses. Because if you don’t have transport you cannot go to work and that’s why we brought the buses. All the government workers should get ready now.

“We will be going to offices at 7 am to see the time that people are coming to work. If you are paid you have to report to work. You cannot be busy more than what you are paid for. If you are working, you should report on time and close on time. We will start monitoring when the buses commence work. If I am going to work at 8 am then everyone should report to work at 8 am. There is no excuse for that, we should be punctual,” the president said.

President Adama Barrow made these remarks at the commissioning of Seventy (70) new buses at McCarthy Square on Wednesday.
