A reliable source within the National People’s Party (NPP) has informed Kerr Fatou that the party has implemented a leadership change, replacing Ounda Nyang with Mustapha Touray as the regional chairman of the Kanifing Municipality. Mustapha Touray, a former aspirant for KMC Mayoral position, now assumes the role.
According to our source, “Ounda Nyang has been served his letter. He was replaced with Mustapha Touray, former KMC Mayoral aspirant. I don’t know whether he will be appointed to another position, but I am not aware of his appointment yet.”
Earlier this year, the NPP underwent a similar change in leadership, replacing Lamin Jatta with Lamin Jamba Jammeh as the West Coast Region chairman. Lamin Jamba Jammeh, a former councilor for Kartong ward and Deputy Secretary for media and communication for the National People’s Party, assumed the role.
