The executive director of the National Sports Council has written to the Gambia Football Federation informing them about their decision to rescind the suspension of their three executive members.
In a letter dated 9 August and signed by Marchel Mendy, the sports council said their previous decision “has been rescinded with immediate effect”.
Few days ago, the NSC has issued a statement suspending the president of the GFF Lamin Kaba Bajo, Bakary Jammeh and Ebou Faye.
NSC said their decision was based on recommendation of the National Assembly Committee on Sports which investigated the GFF regarding an allege tax fraud.
However, following their statement the sports minister, Hadrammeh Sidibeh, told journalists that he has rescinded that decision.
“Furthermore, convey to them (Lamin Kaba Bajo, Bakary Jammeh and Ebou Faye) that they should return to work immediately,” NSC said in a letter addressed to General Secretary of the GFF.
The letter is copied to the secretary general and head of civil service and minister of youths and sports.
