Modou Joof, a retired staff of the Gambia Radio and television services (GRTS), has been appointed as the Deputy Director General of the Gambia Radio and television services (GRTS).
GRTS confirmed his appointment on their Facebook page on Monday, March 27, 2023. Kerr Fatou is also reliably informed that Fatou Sanneh Ceesay, who is one of the longest-serving staff of the institution, is now the Acting Director General of the state broadcaster following the end of Malick Jeng’s contract.
Abubakar Darboe was appointed as the Director General (DG) for the state broadcaster (GRTS) after his predecessor, Malick Jeng’s contract expired. Amid controversies, Mr. Darboe’s appointment was rescinded.
