The National Youth President of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC), MC Cham Jr, has called on president Adama Barrow’s government to release the UDP Campaign Manager, Momodou Sabally.
“In solidarity with Momodou Sabally.
I call on the Gambia government to free Momodou Sabally from detention. Sabally was arrested since yesterday and some people including myself are denied access to see him. This is undone in New Gambia and the new found democracy that we all fought for. Sabally deserves to be released or granted bail while investigations into the reason of his arrest are ongoing,” MC Cham Jr wrote in a statement shared with Kerr Fatou.
MC Cham Jr further stated that he visited the UDP campaign manager but he was denied entry and access to him.
“I have visited him at the PIU headquarters in Kanifing but i was denied access to see him. That is not good for our democracy. I hope he gets released without any conditions immediately,” He concluded.
