The Mandinary Diaspora Association (MDA) has recently donated 100 solar street lights to the community that are worth D560, 000.
The natives of Mandinary abroad donated the items through the Village Development Committee (VDC).
“The collaboration between Mandinary Diaspora Association (MDA) and Mandinary Village Development Committee is a very fruitful and symbiotic relationship and the involvement and participation of the community members are worthy of emulation,” MDA said in a statement.
The statement added that MDA has in the past contributed immensely fully in the ‘Operation Fence the School’ initiative in the settlement; and the COVID-19 emergency relief package; and as well as agreed to sponsor the construction of a modern mortuary at Mandinary health facility.
“The provision of solar street lights will go a long way in minimizing and mitigating nocturnal crime rates in the community. We thank the MDA, VDC and ABK for the successful implementation of this loadable initiative. Long live the MDA and VDC relationship,” it stated.
