The Alkalo of Kassa Kunda village, Cherno Siranding Sabally has been sacked with immediate effect .
“I have been directed to write and inform you of your dismissal as Alkalo of Kassa
Kunda Village with immediate effect through the letter from the Ministry or Land, Regional Gov. and Religious Affairs referenced LM 31/252/01/ (224), dated 10 August, 2022,” a letter from the office of the Governor of West Coast Region dated 16th August 2022 stated.
The letter requested the sacked Alkalo to surrender his stamp and all other official documents to the Chief of Kombo Central District, immediately.
Prior to the publication of his sacking letter, residents of Kassa Kunda heard the news and they converged at the Governor’s office on Tuesday demanding the revocation of the dismissal and accused former Junta Vice Chairman, Sanna Sabally and his brother, Sainey Sabally of ‘conspiring’ with Governor Bojang to dismiss their Alkalo.
The villagers could not meet the Governor who was reported to have travelled; but met the Deputy Governor, Musa Suso who advised them keep patience, until the Governor returns.
