Hon. Babagalleh Jallow, the Former National Assembly Member for Sanneh Mentereng Constituency and the current Deputy Governor for West Coast Region (WCR) said if the people of his Region don’t want to be ruled by the United Democratic Party (UDP), they should vote for Seedy Ceesay.

Mr. Seedy Ceesay is the ruling National People’s Party (NPP)’s candidate for Brikama Area Council (BAC) Chairman in the upcoming Local Government Elections.

“If we don’t want to be ruled by the UDP, we should go and vote for Seedy Ceesay. The reason UDP is trying so hard for this seat is that these Councillors are the ones taking the UDP forward. I am advising all the NPP Supporters to look at the interest of the party. We are fighting with people that don’t scrutinize each other but look out for the interest of their party. And if you are fighting with your opponents they always capitalize on your weak points.

“We should not let our opponents capitalize on our weak points. We are saying we don’t know Seedy or he is not part of the party. UDP doesn’t do that. We all know how they select Yankuba Darboe, but they are all silent about it. I promise you that they are going to vote for him,” Hon. Jallow said.

The Deputy Governor further stated that the Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) and other Councils are not giving back 60% of taxpayers’ money to them (taxpayers).

“The Reason you are paying your tax to the Area Councils is for them to bring 60% of it back to you. But go to KMC and see if they are doing that, or you go to LRR or NBR to see whether they get their 60%. But we the People of West Coast (WCR), and Sheriffo (Outgoing Chairman of BAC) brought all our 60% to us. We know this because the National Assembly Committee which is responsible for investigations on civil servants shows that Sheriffo is 86% clear of tax development. After seeing all these in NPP, we should not let NPP lose this seat. We should try by all means and let Seedy win” he said.

The Former National Assembly Member for Sanneh Mentereng made these remarks during Seedy Ceesay’s introductory visit to the elders of Brufut at the residence of the Alkalo
