IEC Releases Nomination Schedule For Parliamentary Election

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has said that nominations of candidates contesting in the 9 April Parliamentary Election will be held between 5th and 13th march 2022.

Below is the schedule

·       5^th March 2022- ANRD 9am, APP 12pm, and APRC 3pm

·       6^th March 2022- CA 9am, DP 12PM and GANU 3pm

·       7^th March 2022- GAP 9am, GDC 12pm, and GFA 3pm

·       8^th March 2022- GMC 9am, GPDP 12pm, and NCP 3pm

·       9^th March, 2022- NPP 9am, NRP 12pm, and NUP 3pm

·       10^th March, 2022- PDOIS 9am, PPP 12pm and UDP 3pm 

·       11^th March 2022- Independent candidates, 9am to 3pm

·       12th March 2022- receipt of corrections on nomination papers, 9am to 3pm

·       13th March 2022- receipt of corrections on nomination papers, 9am to 4pm 

The electoral commission statement said independent candidates may be invited to submit their nomination papers, if there is free time in the schedule depending on the collection of nomination papers by political parties.
