Honorable Omar Ceesay, the former National Assembly Member for Niamina East Constituency, has called on his former constituents to re-call their current National Assembly member, Hon. Dawda Jeng for what he describes as the latter’s lack of participation in National Assembly debates.
Hon. Omar Ceesay made these remarks on his Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon.
“I would encourage the electorate of the said constituency- Niamina East, to recall him for his style of representation in the house”
Today marks the end of the budget session of the sixth legislature of the Gambia but throughout the daily sittings of the parliament on the budget scrutiny, the Niamina East MP (Hon. Dawda Jeng) never uttered a word including the previous sessions and any elected MP who fails to raise the concerns of his / her electorate would be described as a “TOOTHLESS BULLDOG”. Niamina East MP is not fit for purpose,” he said.
Hon. Omar Ceesay was the former National Assembly Member for Niamima East. He was defeated by Hon. Dawda Jeng in the last National Assembly elections.
