DG GRTS
Abdou M.K Touray, the Director General at The Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS) has been redeployed to the Ministry of Information.
Effective 1st March, 2021, Touray will serve as adviser to the Minister of Information, Ebrima Sillah, whom he once served as Deputy Director General to at GRTS.
On phone, Mr. Touray has confirmed to Kerr Fatou, his redeployment, saying “Yes, I have been redeployed to the Ministry of Information as adviser to the Ministry .”
One Malick Jeng, former employee of the U.S embassy in Banjul will be the new GRTS DG starting next month.
Meanwhile, Abdou has served at the national broadcaster for more than 25 years in different capacities; before his appointment as Director General, following the appointment of the then Director General Ebrima Sillah, as Information Minister.
