Gambia Football Federation (GFF) has written to clubs informing them of the closure of the Independence Stadium due to Gambia’s Men and Women national teams’ upcoming matches.
“The Independence Stadium in Bakau will be closed for renovation and preparation for The Gambia’s Men & Women Scorpions engagements starting from February 9th 2022 until further notice,” GFF said on Monday in a statement shared with the clubs.
The statement added that the competitions department would notify all clubs on pending matches to be rescheduled and apologized for any inconvenience.
