The National Youth Secretary of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC), Momodou King Colley, has endorsed Ahmed Gitteh for the Brikama Area Council Chairman elections.
“As the local government elections are on the approach, i hereby present you one of the most competent and pragmatic candidates by the name of Ahmad Gitteh for the post of Brikama Area Council (BAC) Chairmanship. Gitteh is a visionary, well-experienced, exposed, and seasoned politician with a solid civil and leadership background.
“Here is a man that has the requisite institutional experience and an ocean of knowledge when it comes to governance. In this year’s elections, the occupation of the B.A.C chairmanship is a natural call on the rightly fit candidate Mr. Gitteh who understands the length and breadth of the west coast region and its current issues,” he wrote.
The GDC Youth Secretary added “Under no circumstances for the betterment of our beloved west coast shall we vote into office a candidate who did not clearly understand section 48(2) local government amendment act 2002. However, the ignorance of this section retarded the progress of our region”.
Mr. Colley said Gitteh served as a mentor to many folks within and outside the perimeters of the west coast thus; he said attracting the connections of the grassroots with this, Gitteh has the networking capital, advocacy skills, and expertise to foster, protect and promote the general welfare and interest of the people of West Coast Region.
