“There will be a change of Management at the ECOWAS Commission as the tenure of current Management led by H.E. Jean-Claude Kassi Brou comes to an end after four years.

“President Brou will be handing over to a new Management that will be led by Dr. Omar Alieu Touray from The Gambia, today, July 13, 2022, at the ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria,” ECOWAS said in a statement.

The other statutory appointees heading ECOWAS institutions will also be assuming office today, the statement added.

The new statutory appointees who will serve a period of four years, were named at the just concluded 61st Ordinary Session of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government in Accra on 3rd July 2022.
