Today (27th July 2022) the Ambassador designate to the Republic of Guinea Bissau, Her Excellency Madam Amie Fabureh presents her letter of credence to the Head of State of Bissau Sissoho Emballo at the Statehouse in Bissau.
Excellency Fabureh was received and greeted with a very warm welcoming by the Chief of Protocol amidst a grand style guard of honour before her presentation.
Her Excellency Fabureh in her presentation extended greetings from the President of The Gambia His Excellency Adama Barrow and the people of The Gambia and expressed gratitude for the president accepting her as Ambassador in Bissau.
She posited that The Gambia and Bissau are very close sister countries and will work very hard to cement the existing bilateral relationship between the two countries.
On his part, His Excellency President Emballo welcomed Ambassador Fabureh and assure her of the unflinching support of His government.
The Embassy and staff welcomed Ambassador Fabureh and wish her a very successful tour of duty.
