Commonwealth Games: Gina Bass, Wurie Njadoe Through To 200m Semi-Finals

Gina Bass, Gambia and Africa’s 100m champion and Wurie Njadoe, Gambian USA-based athlete have qualified to the 200m semi-finals at the ongoing Commonwealth Games, Birmingham, England. 

Earlier today, Gina Bass finished 2^nd with a timing of 22.87 seconds; while Wurie qualified on best loser’s timing.

However, Gina missed the 100m heats due to visa delay; and Wurie finished 4^th in the 100m heats that could not proceed to the next level.
