The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Hussein Diab, and Musa Sise, Corporate Affairs Director and Public Relations Officer of Africell on Friday paid a courtesy called on the Vice President, His Excellency Badara Alieu Joof.
Speaking to the press after their meeting, CEO Diab thanked VP Joof for availing them the opportunity to share with him their current Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.
He noted that his company is a GSM operator but is involved in diverse areas, as far as their social corporate responsibilities are concerned.
The Africell boss highlighted some of the GSM company’s latest interventions to that include expansion to other countries, supporting the Africell/KMC park, introduction of the ‘What is your number’ initiative meant for health checks on different non-communicable diseases, and sponsorship of the Gambia’s national team.
Also speaking, the Corporate Affairs Director and Public Relations Officer of Africell, Muse Sise assured His Excellency Joof that GSM company would continue to support the government’s development agenda.
