Former President Yahya Jammeh is scheduled to deliver a statement on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in his hometown of Kanilai, located in the Foni Kansala district, amid widespread speculation regarding his potential return.

Details about the format or content of his communication remain unclear. However, Sadibou Badjie (Bajagarr), Media Director of the APRC no-to-Alliance, confirmed during a Saturday interview on Brunch that Jammeh will be addressing the public on Sunday.

When asked about circulating reports that Jammeh had invited people to Kanilai for a public statement, Badjie affirmed the information, describing it as “very authentic,” and confirmed that the event will indeed take place.
He added that anticipation is high, noting that “everyone is eager to hear what Jammeh will say, as he is missed by almost everyone.”

Despite the excitement, Badjie clarified that he is not aware of the specific content of Jammeh’s message and did not want to speculate. He emphasized, however, that Jammeh’s past statements have consistently focused on peace, mutual understanding, and respect for the rule of law.

“What will be the pinnacle of his message? I am not privy to that, but I can clearly tell you that he is going to send in a message,” Badjie said.

He also suggested that Jammeh’s address might extend beyond party matters, noting that as a former head of state, he is at liberty to speak on broader national issues. “I don’t think it will be wrong for him to go beyond party politics,” Badjie added.
The event is expected to draw significant public attention, as citizens await Jammeh’s message amid speculation about his future involvement in the country’s political and national affairs.
