10th Grade Pupil Allegedly Stabbed His Teacher
A teacher, Amadou B.B. Jatta (Amba) was allegedly stabbed by one of his male students at Scan Aid Upper and Senior Secondary School in Brufut.
The alleged stabbing by the 17-year-old pupil occurred at the school on 16th June 2022, following a disagreement between the two.
A statement from the school told this medium that the teacher (Mr. Jatta) noticed that the student was not “punctual and regular” and reported him to the Principal Mr Jallow who asked him to go home and call his parents.
On his way home, he was overheard insulting and then hard push and pull with the said teacher while leaving the school gate, the statement added.
“Thereafter, he went and hid beside the graveyard waiting for the teacher; as the teacher was passing going home, he unexpectedly hit the teacher at the back of his neck. The teacher fell down. Then later stabbed him on the face below the eye,” it stated.
The teacher is said to have reported the matter to police then went to Sukuta Health Centre for medical attention; while the boy is allegedly on the run.
