The Gambia Democratic Congress [GDC] has mourned the demise of Gambian Ambassador to Guinea Bissau His Excellence Lamin Jobe.
“The Gambia Democratic Congress under the leadership of Hon. Mamma Kandeh wishes to extend our deepest heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the family and loved ones of His Excellency Ambassador Lamin Jobe who died at Simone Mendes General Hospital in Bissau. Ambassador Lamin Jobe is known to be an exceptional and excellent leader who usually manifests high morals and a sense of humanity with his staff. This is a great loss for the entire Gambians, especially the government Foreign Missions.
“While we mourn with the family of late ambassador Jobe for the loss and extend our heartfelt condolences to the family. We pray that Allah SWT grant the departed soul eternal bliss. May He equally grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” the spokesperson,Omar Ceesay said in a statement with Kerr Fatou.
The Gambian Embassy in Bissau yesterday in a statement, announced the death of Ambassador Lamin Jobe at Simone Mendes General Hospital in Bissau.
Lamin Jobe previously served as trade minister before his appointment as ambassador.
Jobe replaced Alieu K. Jammeh, who is now the Gambian High Commissioner to Sierra Leone.
