United States Expels 3 Gambian Diplomats

Three Gambian diplomats were expelled from the United States, according to a report in the Point Newspaper on Monday.
The diplomats were accused of engaging in activities that were incompatible with their diplomatic status, but the specific allegations have not been released.
The Point named Mustapha Sosseh, deputy head of mission; Alagie Babou Joof, finance attaché; and Pa Saikou Darboe, first secretary, as the three officials from the Gambian Embassy in the United States.
The Point newspaper, citing unnamed sources, reported that the U.S. State Department officials, on Friday, gave the three expelled Gambian diplomats until July 17, 2023, to leave the United States.
