“They are partial” Pa Modou Mbowe Calls For Resignation Of Entire IEC Staff
By Buba Gagigo
Pa Modou Mbowe, the spokesperson of the APRC ‘No To Alliance’ has called for the resignation of the entire IEC staff for what he called their lack of independence.
“There is an impasse going on (in APRC) and if there is an impasse, it is supposed to be the mandate of IEC to mediate. The ‘I’ stands for Independent, but they are not independent, and that is what they show us. Because when PPP had their impasse, they mediated and brought peace, the same with NCP, so why not APRC? Especially when we went to the extent of writing to you, sending you email.
“I went to IEC to drop those letters, to the inspector General of police, to the interparty committee. After two weeks without getting any response, we wrote to them again to remind them. They are supposed to be independent, if they are not independent then they are partial and if they are partial, they are not credible anymore. For that alone they should resign, all of them should resign,” he said.
Mr Mbowe also said APRC ‘No To Alliance’ will contest all the seats in the upcoming Local Government Elections, they are however yet to reveal their candidates.
