GTU President Calls for Road Safety and Transport Efficiency in Meeting with President Barrow

Omar Ceesay, President of the Gambia Transport Union (GTU), accompanied by Operations Officer Ousman Gaye, met with President Adama Barrow to discuss road safety and transport efficiency in The Gambia.
In a statement on their Facebook page, the GTU shared: “Today, our esteemed President, Mr. Omar Ceesay, alongside Operations Officer Ousman Gaye, had the honor of meeting His Excellency President Adama Barrow in his hometown, Mankamang Kunda Village, as part of the ongoing Meet the People Tour. The discussion centered on advancing key priorities in the road transport sector, with a particular focus on enhancing road safety and facilitating the seamless movement of people, goods, and services across borders.”
As advocates for transport workers in The Gambia, the GTU emphasized its steadfast commitment to representing their rights and interests.
“Together, we aim to build a safer, more efficient transport system that supports national development,” they concluded.
