GAP Rejects resignation of Its National President

In a latter shared with Kerr Fatou, the Gambia Action party rejected the resignation of its National President, Mr. Tamsir M. Jasseh who tendered to the party his resignation on 11th March.
“I write on behalf of the National Executive Committee of the Gambia Action party to reject your resignation letter in connection of your exit from the party,” GAP wrote in response to Jasseh.
The party further stated in the letter that Mr. Jasseh is still its National President.
“By this letter, we still recognise you as the National President of GAP as determined by the outcome of the National Congress, a decision we still respect,” the letter concluded.
Subsequently, another letter shared by the party (GAP), indicated that Mr Tamsir M. Jasseh has rescinded his resignation, after a rejection of it.
“In light of the rejection of my resignation letter by the Secretary General and top executive members of the party, and the fruitful discussion that we had on Friday 12th March 2021, I hereby rescind my resignation from The Gambia Action Party dated 11th March 2021,” Jasseh wrote.
The Administrative Secretary of GAP has this morning confirmed to Kerr Fatou, the authenticity of the letters referred to in this article.
