Former National President of the Citizens’ Alliance (CA), Dominic Mendy, in a widely viewed interview on Kerr Fatou earlier today, says Dr Ismaila Ceesay and Rafie Diab do not deserve to be part of the Citizens’Alliance Party, much more executive members.

“I am not at war with CA, and I want to make that very clear. I am at war with people in CA who do not respect the moral values and the value system of CA. The basis on which CA was created and marketed to the public, for which the public endeared CA. I felt that was a breach of public trust. I don’t want my interviews to be interpreted as ‘he is fighting CA’ or ‘he wants to bring CA down’. I feel CA is going down the drain and nobody seems to be cognisant to rebuild the party’s structure because CA is being taken down the drain by its party leader Doctor Ismaila Ceesay and Rafie Diab. These two people are liabilities to CA.

“These two people are liabilities to CA. And these people do not deserve to belong to CA, not more even to join the executive committee of CA. And we have done everything possible (To solve the problem internally), I was the National President of CA, I have tried to resolve these problems. So my idea of resigning from CA is to encourage CA to rethink its political trajectory and hopefully rebuild itself before it looses the little relevance it had secured since 2019,” he told Kerr Fatou on Thursday

After the interview aired on Kerr Fatou, Dr Ismaila Ceesay took to twitter and wrote the following cryptic message; “Unfortunately I don’t and won’t respond to lunatics and their loads of rubbish”

The Former Citizens’ Alliance (CA) National President, Hon. Dominic Mendy, resigned from the party last week.
