The Councilor for Sanyang Ward, Boto Bojang, has used his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) provided by Kombo South National Assembly Member Kebba K. Barrow to provide water for two communities (Mamuda and Sinchang) within his Ward.

“I am here (in Mamuda) to extend the good gesture that honorable Kebba K Barrow has for the entire Kombo South. This Constituency Development Fund is given to all the MPs in the Gambia. It amounted to Three hundred thousand dalasis (D300, 000),”

“When he (Hon. KK Barrow) received the funds, he called the three councilors of Kombo South to a meeting. When we sat together, I told them about the difficulties my people are encountering,” Councilor Boto Bojang said at a ceremony held in Mamuda last Saturday.

The Sanyang ward Councilor said he was able to identify the problems of these beneficiary communities when he toured the two communities after his election to office in 2017.

“When I took office, I toured the length and breadth of these Communities to have first-hand information about their needs. And I find out that water was very key and very important, and it was a challenge in these communities. People don’t have safe drinking water. When I expressed all these needs (At a meeting with hon. KK Barrow), they thought it wise to let it be implemented in the communities of Mamuda and Sinchang. These are the two communities that benefited from this Constituency Development Fund allocated to National Assembly Members,” he said

Councilor Boto Bojang also previously donated twenty-five thousand dalasis worth of drugs to Tanji health center. The Constituency Development Fund is a budgetary allocation that is accorded to the National Assembly and allows parliamentarians to spend up to three hundred thousand dalasis (D300, 000) annually in a bid to carry out certain development initiatives and activities within their constituency.
